Pro-Link Celebrates 30th Anniversary

Pro-Link, Canton, Massachusetts, held its annual meeting and 30th anniversary celebration in Tampa, Florida. This year’s keynote speaker was Mike Marks, managing partner of Indian River Consulting Group and a senior NAW research fellow.

Calling the meeting a “resounding success,” Brian Slack, CEO and president of Pro-Link, said distributor-members were excited about the future throughout the three days of networking and executive-only meetings.

“Our distributor-members consistently rank Pro-Link’s two formal networking events very high and important to them“ says Slack. “They share best practices, and get feedback without fear of giving away secrets,” as there is little territory overlap among the membership.

Distributors also participated in Pro-Link’s annual golf tournament, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle ride and a fishing tournament.

During its award banquet aboard the Yacht StarShip, Pro-Link honored both members and suppliers for excellence.

This year’s award winners include:

• Americhem International, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, as Distributor of the Year;

• Berry Plastics, Minneapolis, as Supplier of the Year;

• Lawton Brothers, Orlando, Florida, as Brand Champion;

• Bob Schedurman as Regional Manager of the Year;

• Fitch Co., Baltimore, received the Distributor Link Award; and

• Hyso, Carlstadt, New Jersey, receive the Supplier Link Award. 

In addition to these winners, Casey Engineered Maintenance, Fitch Co., The Rhiel Supply Company, Pur-O-Zone, and Penn Valley Chemical, were all honored for their 30th year as part of the buying group.

“This was without question one of our best annual meetings ever,” Slack says. “Our members value this organization.”
